The 1911 census lists George Clement Clements as a Beer Retailer (Public House)
In 1901 he was living in Nechells as an Edge Tool Maker
In 1891 he was living in Deritend as a Tool Maker and Grocer
One his son's marriage certificate in 1918 he is listed as being a Publican.

I am one of the last branches of this family. My mom’s maiden name was Clements. We are currently trying to locate where the pub was, so 54 is really useful. George Clements, to me, was my great great grandfathers uncle. I think.
Mom has a family tree on the wall at hers. (My great great grandfather was Frederick)

We are trying to work out if the pub vanished as part of a German bombing.

Also, in our Clements family, the first born male was always named Clement Clements. So the name George Clement Clements has thrown me, as the name George is at the start.

The pub disappeared from directories between the 1940 and 1943 directories, so it is probable that it was bombed. The last landlordin 1940 an din 1932 was George Clements. In 1921 and 1908 it was George Clement Clements. but in 1904 it was Frederick Embley. It should be noted that later directories often did not list the middle name of people, so George Clements might well have been George Clement Clements

BARRA lists a lot of deaths/injuries on 19 Nov 1940 in Heath Mill Lane. One of the heaviest raids in the war at that point.
29 at house numbers around 58 and 60.
