Looking to find out what sort of shop at 230 Rookery Road prior to 1925 was and who it was run by. My grandmother Francis Ada Cole lived at the back of the shop for most of her life and it was a barbers but my grandfather left in 1925 and went on to run a shop in Wednesbury so wondering if this is why they lived there as he ran the shop up until he left.

My ancestors had a shop on Rookey Road in the early 1900s, but unfortunately, I do not have the number. There name was Taylor. I know there is a photo of Rookery Road on The Forum showing a shop with the name Taylor on, but this is too recent to have been them.

Hi did anybody have any luck finding photos of Rookery Road? Ive just found out my Great Nans (Emily Jane Webb) 1st Husband (William Thomas Webb) in the late 1800 and early 1900s had a jewellery shop at 86 Rookery Road.

hi! yeah thats the road :) first thing I did was google and noticed it was shop and that the house next door where my great nan lived before marriage - door 84 also a shop now
Its nice to see its still standing would love to see photo(s) if any of the actual shop back then though but chance are very slim :( ive found photos of the road from back then but not of shop so at least I got to see how it looked back then.
