230 Read's Court, Aston Street

I have an original copy of my great grandmother's (Elizabeth Amy Hopkins) birth certificate July 2, 1871, 230 Read's Court Aston Street, Birmingham. The Birmingham connection is a surprise as I thought my English roots were strictly Yorkshire. Her father John was a Carpenter and her mother Sarah Ann was a McKenzie from Scotland.
I'd welcome any insight on Birmingham life in 1871 and suggestions on where to investigate to go further back. Kind regards!
 
I have tried to find Reads (possibly Reed's) Court on a map but have not found it so far.
There is a Reed's Opening listed in the 1883 directory

The map below shows the "Swan with Two Necks" and the arrow is where I am guessing the Reed's Opening might be. 230 seems a very high number

Further progress from 1871 census. Read's Court is listed between 97 and 98 Aston Street
but only seems to be numbered as 1 to 7
John and Sarah Hopkins are listed at number 4

If so, then finding them on that census may allow you to link back further.

I suspect that the building "inside" from my green arrow are the Court as there seem to be 7 properties.
