Hi
I have just made a post in the "Statues and Monuments" section about the bi-centenary of the Nelson statue in the Bull Ring.
https://forum.birminghamhistory.co.uk/showthread.php?p=178195#post178195
I am working on an exhibition for the Central Library and there are a couple of images that I would like to try and track down.
The first one is the view of the Bull Ring below which I believe is by the artist Robert K Calvert.
Is there anywhere that I could buy a copy of this print? - or get hold of a high resolution scan to use on a display board.
The second image I am trying to find is a colour one of the statue on the "balcony" above the outdoor market. I have got a couple of really nice black & white photos - one with the children's roundabout next to it - and one looking over the roofs of the market stalls.
But these would look so much better if they were in colour!
Can anyone help me with this - or point me in the right direction.
Thanks very much if you can help in any way - and I will keep you up to date through the other thread as the exhibition starts to come together.
Best wishes
