Can anybody explain why this house is still standing ?
My parents owned this house from the late 1930's and we sold up and left for New Zealand in July 1949. My father was in the AFS during the war. I remember the Christmas party's at the Moseley Road Fire Station, and also while he was stationed at the Edgebaston County Cricket Ground. Yes I went to school at Tindal Street and then Dennis Road when a bomb hit Tindal Street. John Dunn

A warm welcome to the Forum, John.

“Why” or “whether” in your first sentence?

Wow that is some house. My Dad was in the NFS during WWII and we didn't have a place like that.
Recon if you sold that in 1949 your Dad could have bought NZ, or at least the North Island.
Cheers Tim
