1st Battalion Worcester Regiment.

Proud to be a Brummie !!
My Gt uncle, WILLIAM HENRY GREEN, was KIA 13th March 1915 in France. He was serving with the 1st Battalion Worcester Regiment (just 21 years old). I wonder if anyone can kindly fill in the background of the battle he was in when he was killed. I believe he was buried where he fell & his name is on the Le Touret memorial. I have found his army details on Ancestry.

Many thanks,
Margaret.

Hi Margaret, your Grandfather would have been killed in the Neuve Chapelle Battle as Jennyann suggested.
My father fought, and survived the battle.

Thank you all for the information. I will read the battle report with interest & sadness. Really appreciate your help.
