    King Kong Statue

I tracked down King Kong last week and found him recently moved to a private garden near Penrith. Pleasingly he is no longer lying on his back in a car park. My photos are here, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=188758151277863&set=a.188757804611231.1073741835.160268044126874&type=1&theater

48th Anniversary of The Beatles playing in Kings Heath.

Thank you very much Laurie. I have of course read your wonderful book and hope you might be interested in the film I'm making which tracks the musical heritage of the No.50 bus route. I'm due to start filming in the summer with the first screening at the launch of the new Central Library. I've...

The Plaza's -Handsworth and Old Hill, The Ritz Ballroom- Kings Heath

This would be really interesting as Mark Lewisohn's 'comprehensive' guide to every Beatles performance doesn't list it. Old Hill and KH are in there. If it was the same day as Bev Bevan suggests it would have been Friday 5th July 1963.

    Midnight City

It's understandable why the venue is remembered in so many locations as it is at the crossroads of each one mentioned! I was hoping it still existed - another one lost.

    Midnight City

Having read various memories of The Moat House and Midnight City on a variety of sites, it is variously credited with being in Moat St, Moat Row, Digbeth and Bradford St. Can anyone please say exactly where it was and if the building still exists? Thanks in advance.
