    Hmmmm you know, I don't know much about my moms, dads side other than he was born in tipperary in Ireland, I do have some of his relatives on my tree, but that's all I know. The last time I went over was in 1998. I would like to delve deeper at some point. Ill have a look at those links :)

    Yes I’m big on nostalgia from the 80s and 90s. I feel it was a simpler time and everyone was happier. Although I really enjoy looking back at old brum. I wouldn’t wish to live in those times. Our ancestors had it hard.

    Ill have a look now, I love looking through old photos. There are a few good videos on YouTube of the city centre back in the day, but you may have seen them already.

    Ahhh now that you’ve both said that I know exactly where it is and what stretch of carriageway it’s on…. I’ve always lived south Birmingham so I have no idea what’s new/old this side.

    Right I’m over this way now, I’m guessing those row of shops have been knocked down , is it where the aldi and farm foods is now? If anyone is from north Birmingham you may know.

    Can I check with you all on here that, 81 high street is now called Newtown Row. The next road to the left should be whitehead road but now Its also been changed to Manchester street?

    You know I remember that was posted and when it said 50/60s I thought it was perhaps after they ran it. But now I realise they had it then too. Amazing. I shall add that to my tree. :))

    Oh so it was more of a cake shop then :) yes I think the G and L are Giovanni and Lucia. But Felice lived there also, so they must of had upstairs too. They must of ran that for a long time, as it was Felice residence on his death certificate in 1933. Yes Giuseppe must of went back.

    I did not realise there was a Handsworth cemetery. thanks for that, ill send them an email. Infact im sure as its a Birmingham city council one she isn't there, because I got the council to search there whole system as she never came up. :)

    I’ve looked up that street and I don’t think it exists anymore… but it’s in the Handsworth area :)
