Hi Lady P. I've been looking for images of my great grandfathers brother Thomas Edward Johnson's garage with no luck. This could be his garage at 44 Sutton Rd Erdington. His residence was Wilmot House at same address, I think you see it in the background.

I can see it being dismantled and taken away when someone breaks their neck trying to climb it.

Sorry Michael, I don't remember any Skeldings. Apart from the McPhee girls photo which I posted I only vaguely remember Brian Mead as a slightly older boy than me.

I did end up making the trip to Birmingham with my brother last weekend. No go on the Gravestone I'm afraid but surprisingly the St Thomas Association club did have some references to my great grandfather Leon Harry Johnson 1879-1935 on the clubs wall.

As a kid I remember Uncles in the family when referring to their parents as "The old man" or "The old lady" although it was always Mom & Dad to their faces. I don't remember my Aunts using these terms either.
