    I think this b&w photo was taken at the top end of chain walk where it meets Lozells Road, this would make the shop on the corner No. 2 Chain Walk, Russell Taylor (caterers), dining rooms in 1955. Looks like the tree survived (next to No. 14) as did properties Nos 14 onwards.
