    It was yes! I had to go for a job interview in 1970, a place called B W Motors I’ve recently found out it was previously called Watson’s! Unfortunately I was early and had to wait so I popped in this cafe for a coffee and toast, I can remember it was very old looking place.

    In 1871 my 9 year old Great Granddad William Edwin Cook was minding a coalyard with his Mom and 72 year old Grandmother, it says on the Census that they were living in one room. The one room was a 10’x10’ coal shed I dread to think if they were living there in the winter.
