    Thanks Len, going on that link they are 1. Military Medal, 2. The Star 1939-45, 3. War Medal 1939-45, atleast i know they are WW2 now and would have been the medals my Grandad was entittled to claim, thats brilliant, you're a gem :)

    Re: Mary Sargant Thanks Shera, 74 Freeth Street was the address in 1911, so it must be him, which means he was alive, I wonder why there is an objection... very strange... maybe that is why he isn't listed on the 1911.. Still can't find his or her death....I will check out those christenings...

    Lyn, how strange, dad was only saying last week that where the Hall of Memory was used to be a canal basin, hope they save a lot of it, be nice to have some history left as so much is being detroyed! Let me know when you're going up and i'll join you in persuading them to let us in ;)
