    Help for a newbie please.

Who is it you are trying to find? You can always ring the Library where the census would be held and ask them to do a search for you, they will charge a small fee tho.. the 1831 census is a lot like the 1841 in that it doesn't list place of birth and relationship of the people in the household.

    Help for a newbie please.

If any of your ancestors were born before 1837 then you could try www.familysearch.org.uk. It is a list of Parish register christenings, some times you can get lucky, 1831 census are available at Libraries i think, i have never viewed one as yet :)

    Graham Street Lozells

Thanks Mike, knew someone would solve the riddle in the end, his discharge paper for 1920 says 1 back of 33 Graham Street so maybe those houses were called Morton Place? as 1920 says house number 33 just above Morton Place listings.

Maggs i am wondering now... he was born October 1897 Mike so he would have been 21 in 1918, just after the electoral role so wouldn't be on missing voters, but 1925 it said Moreton Place Graham Street, maybe they have it mixed up like Maggs said.. his name was Isaac Sargent incase i have got...
