    First Film Your Parent Took You To See

    The first film I remember going to see was " The Amazing Mr Blunden" at a cinema on The Coventry Rd, Sheldon, between The Wheat Sheaf and the wagon & Horses. I think its a 'Floors to Go' or Somerfield now.

    I have been searching for records for Kings Norton (St Nicolas) and Northfield (St Laurence) online for a few years. No success yet. We found all our info at the Central Library. Kings Norton seems like a black hole for research info online.

    Coventry road Police station.

    There was a police station on the Coventry Rd, at the end of Holders Rd, Yardley next to Oaklands Park. That became a pub called 'The Old Bill & Bull'.

    Preen Clemantina

    The entry says that Clementina Newman married Peter Fitzpatrick in the Oct, Nov Dec qtr of 1921. You would have to get the marriage certificate for the exact date and place of the marriage.
