    My Grand-daughter again !!!

They do make you laugh though don't they? And they would get you hung at times! Sutton Park History

Lovely views of the park Dave, must admit I wouldn't have been happy driving on that road though, having had a long slide this morning, my Espace now has low profile tyres and zero handling, so its essential journeys only for me! Thanks for posting the video. Sue

Weather : past adverse weather in Birmingham

bit better than here then Sheri, main roads are very slushy and slippy and pavements are lethal, as the first snow froze before this lot started. A thumbs up from mom for those clip on snow grips available, we got her some last year, which she didn't really have chance to use, but she tested...

Weather : past adverse weather in Birmingham

I don't really remember it, but mom and dad talk about it, I was just over 2 and my brother a baby. As dad was a carpenter, the building sites weren't workable, so we had no money coming in - dad went and worked on some cooling towers for a while to get some cash, but it was a very tight time...

    The pitfalls of Genealogy

It is sad when you find young deaths, one of dads uncles was killed at Gallipoli, dad never knew this part of his family, it seems they became estranged for some reason, I'm still working on that!! Moms cousin was a bomb disposal expert and was killed defusing a German bomb in Cornwall in WW2...

I wonder if any of moms rels worked at the whip makers, her moms family were renon whipmakers to the gentry and were Birmingham based from the 1890's, though I am not sure exactly where. Sue

Hi Paul, not one of mine I don't think, they are all Wolverhampton born. Have you started a new thread of your own on the genealogy area, that way people will respond to your query alone? Good luck with your searching - have you tried the 1911 census to find him? Sue
