    GG Jean. On this old A-Z map you will see Linguard Street well this is not there any more as the library was on the corner. ( The black square was the Fire Station directly opposite the library.) Looking at the map I think Saltley Road is part of the Nechell's Parkway. I hope this answers your...

    Can Bloomsbury Library be saved? At the moment the doorway is held up by what I would describe as two pole jacks.. I might add that plants in the brickwork do not help in the preservation of this fine Victorian building.

    This is from Saltley Duddeston and Nechells by Maria Twist ISBN 0-7524-2279-0 Both books mentioned have a wealth of Photographs. I always think that its a pity they did not come into print sooner.

    How are the paths for Mobility scooters to get around ? Have been once before but so long ago but I remember it as though it was yesterday. I feel I must go one more time that's if the paths can accommodate mobility scooters. May be there sometime next week.
