    Phil, There must have been a unit some where in Witton, as I can remember one breaking loose and trailing wires over the roofs of houses, and also one being struck by lightning and bursting into flames

    Winter1947 for me was spent waiting at Barton Stacey for a draft to go abroad, very cold, much scrounging for anything that would burn,and then after 10 day's on board ship arriving at hot sunny Egypt, what a change of climate in a matter of a few day's

    Many years ago, Whilst Shopfitting, we had the occasion to refit a certain shop in Lichfield Road ,and while putting the name above the shop one of the two letter S's was put up the wrong way,and no one ever noticed, but whenever I went past the shop, it always brought on a smile ::) :D ^-^
