Oh dear, sorry to hear that, takes away some great old buildings and essence of Birmingham and the canals. Same as here in London now, tall buildings going up everywhere and dwarfing the old city.

Just thinking about him, despite all his mad cap antics and outward acts, he was a humble person underneath not big headed like some entertainers. He was always genuinely touched by fans appreciation of him.

I would guess the night was put on by/as the Bent Boot. I don't remember seeing that one though. I do remember some nights being advertised as Gotham City, probably because the TV Batman series of the 60s was so popular! Edit..well, maybe because the side of the Crown and Cushion was in...
