Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone had a subscription to British newspaper archives?

ok That's something I could look for at st chads. If I don't find it, I think that's on my list to purchase anyway. Could I purchase records actually from Italy, from their registry office?. It would be good to get some birth certificates.

Ah ok so there's a possibility it may come up on the birth reg in years to come. And you have seen names changes, interesting. Also im booked in at st chads in October, this was for cross referencing before the church found an earlier map of the cemetery. So technically I don't need to do that...

62 you say, hopefully i have all of those on my tree. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a Fredrick Iommi, would be interesting to see who he is. He’d be the same age as my dad, so he may not be alive now. P.s Is a deed poll document something that would be available like birth certificates and...

That's super interesting, so he had a brush with death.... so this one is the child who travelled with Rosa. Any reason why you think Rosa went 2 months after Eleuterio?

So that’s about 5 children now? But only two survived , Michael & Carmen. I’m actually speaking to Eleuterio’s great grandchildren in America! Theve sent me photos of Michael & Carmen. They tell me that Eleuterio died on the railway.

With your uncles death certificate, did he die here in brum? Do you know where he is buried? I can’t believe all these men having multiply families…. I guess you really could get away with it back then.

    Birmingham market handbook 1980

My dad Michael iommi - has dug out his Birmingham Market handbook from 1980. He worked at this particular market for 22 years and the “old market” for many years before. I hope it may be interest to some of you, maybe you remember my dad? Or you frequently used the market? This is him below on...

so you've managed to crack your family tree then, although you've had stumbling blocks. I guess no one knew we would be looking them up in 100 plus years.

That's crazy that it, and really interesting at the same time, it seems it was so easy to up and leave, and start again without anyone really knowing anything unless you told them. As a novice really doing this family tree I didn't even think about documents being wrong, changing of surnames and...

Id love to know...I guess if you upped and left back then there would be no way of tracking you down. Its strange as Alexandra im sure never mentioned that her dad wasn't present or anything like that, just that her mom did have lots of men, and that she only had half siblings. Who knows. so...

    Our childhood toys

I was an 80s baby, but only really remember 90s toys, but the ones in particular I loved were, battleships, snakes and ladders, I collected china dolls (which now have a creepy vibe I think), operation, and etch a sketch :) Id do anything to go back to simple toys. But one thing, I always play...

Are you finding it difficult to trace Elizebeth before her children and marriages because of the smith name? also do you suspect she married Foster, while she was still married (but split) so she put widow? or could be the case it is the wrong Luciano and he did in fact pass away. when he had...
