    Iommi family

When it come to Richard III I'm still sceptical. There are 3 possibilities - he is the son of Luciano Pecchia and used the Foster name for convenience, he's the son of Alfred Foster or he is the son of an unknown father and again used the Foster name for convenience. As he was registered as...

    Iommi family

It's one of those things that you'll never know one way or the other. No descendants, no one still alive who knew him. Unless you dig him up and hope you can extract dna to compare to his half siblings descendants. Probably a bit extreme though.:)

    Iommi family

We don't know for certain. In favour of him not being a Pecchia, apart from using the Foster name, is he deosn't appear to have been baptised a Catholic like his 2 sisters

    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

The only other item I can find of interest on the site atm is a mention of the Will of Isaac's father in law, Joseph Jacobs. https://synagoguescribes.com/blog/jewish-will-extracts-18th-19th-century-details/jewish-will-extracts-18th-19th-century/?value=2904 Not a lot of details given but the...

    Bull Ring 1930s - 1950s

They seem to have sold a wide variety. One advert mentions budgies, canaries, tortoise, snakes, lizards, rabbits, golden hamsters, tame mice, guinea pigs, goldfish etc, another adds chameleons and tree frogs and a third appears to include bush babies.

Seek and you will find. Marriage record transcription for Isaac Myers and Rachel Jacobs. Not as much info as I'd hoped but Isaac father's name listed as Meir Myers... https://synagoguescribes.com/blog/person-details/?value=9114

    Interesting and Unusual Names

This one is unusual (3 occurrences in Stoke) but I think quite cool - Hamlet Boon. I can imagine it being the name of 1930s private investigator.

He doesn't appear to be. His father was from Droitwich, whilst the founder of Pimms was from Oxfordshire. This old thread may be of interest to you... https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/threads/pimms-icknield-port-road.44658/

    D.N.A. TESTING

One day maybe a descendant will discover the truth...that you are who you always thought were. :) With interesting ancestors from the length and breadth (I think more breadth than length) of the country.

    D.N.A. TESTING

Does the truth outweigh the heartache? I'm sure most people don't expect to find out anything like that but as we see some do. If it's about ancestors we never met - great grandparents for some people - it just adds interest to your family history but about people you know/knew it's a different...

    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

Stepping back to Maurice Myers (Henry's brother). There are many adverts in the newspapers for tobacco products from Maurice, 109 Dale End. Interestingly there is also the granting of a Billiard License to him in 1860. Not sure where he is in 1851 as his wife and son are in Chertsey with her...

    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

From what's available online I can't go any further back than Isaac. I think I mentioned previously that there is a tree on familysearch that suggests that Isaac & Rachel married in 1822 at Hambro Synague London. What info that record may contain I don't know, though the tree doesn't list any...

Yes, the Isaac Myers who died in 1848 is the grandfather of Isaac Myers (just mentioned) and Charles Moss Myers.

    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

This is a little bit about Isaac Myers b1850, the eldest son of Maurice Myers and Elizabeth Abrahams, both the cousin and second cousin of Charles Moss Myers. Following his father in the tobacco trade in 1881 he is listed as an Importer of Tobacco and in 1901 as Retired Cigar Merchant. It may...
