Yes Dave. Perry Barr won't be the same without the track, I passed it after yesterday's game last night and there are just piles of rubble now. So easy to destroy for those that have no interest in sport and would rather build yet more flats, where once speedway and greyhounds brought the crowds...

At least they kept the rise to the current inflation rate....not :rolleyes:. It looks to me like they are going through everything with a fine-tooth comb, in an attempt to find some way to get some more money into the government's coffers and they couldn't wait until the budget to announce this...

Amazing that it was up for sale for as little as £80,000. Nice it's been kept open, hopefully when they eventually stop knocking everything down in the area and digging up the surrounding roads, there will be enough business for "The Pike & Musket" and The Bull, to both thrive alongside each...

We had a greengrocery shop that sold Turkeys, Christmas Trees and Christmas Wreaths, so Christmas was a very busy time of year. My Dad was always worried that we would be left with a number of these being left unsold, but he knew what he was doing, when it came to how many of each we would sell...
