    I only know from looking at an exhibition held in Sutton when I was a teenager, showing the churches past and present in Sutton, for some reason it stuck. Mom and dad married at St Peters which is why I knew that one. Find hurch history quite fascinating. Sue

    Michelle, are you sure the Lily you have in 1930 is the correct one, I couldn't find her, but on the 1930 electoral rolls, there are Elizabeth Jane, Lily and Nellie Floyd at 2 back of 96 Garbett Street - this matches the mom and sisters names from the 1911 census, may be worth a second look...

    Michelle, they could have married so be listed under their married names. Women weren't included on electoral rolls until they were over 30,up until 1928, when it was made equal with the men and women over 21 were included Hve you looked up any marriages? Also, Nellie may well be her birth name...

    I had shoes like that Viv, but navy blue and then the "jesus" sandals also Clarks ones with the buckles and crepe soles. When I was at senior school, we were restricted to a 3/4" heel height, which the deputy head used to measure, I had really skinny feet and the only narrow fitting black lace...
