Darkening the image a little it does say 'Official Caterers to B...............', as mentioned in post#6 This plus the sign 'scotch whisky to be had at all bars' suggests Bingley Hall but not definitive of course. I've compared the windows with several on photographs of Bingley Hall it seemed...

A few distinctive features of the photograph. Con Amore Cigarette advert circa 1916 ? White figurine - could this be related to the name of the place ? Adverts for Bass and Bovril (mentioned by Janice) Sign saying 'scotch whisky to be had at all bars', implying it was a huge establishment...

There was a J. A. Duller (dining rooms) at 262 Broad Street in 1921, I don't know if that helps to pinpoint the location though.

This is a nice photo of the 3 sisters of the William's family. They were our neighbours in Parliament Street, they lived at No. 3 and we lived at No. 7. When we moved to Cannock around 1962 they came to visit, their names were Marge (Margaret?), Lidia and Ada (my brother is in the pedal car)...

It appears that the same company occupied #206 Bradford Street from 1921 (possibly earlier) until at least 1967/68 (possibly later), I don't have access to Kelly's after 1968.

An aerial view from 1937. In 1955 No. 34 was a coffee house. I think there are some tramlines visible on the original photograph so the location would fit but could do with a comparable image.

Brilliant work Lyn, as usual. I imagine that involved many hours searching through pub photos, plus a photo I've not seen before.

No.2 could be located where shown in red, the large area in red did not exist in 1889. What year did you gt. gf. live there? May be able to work out the location from a census or 1939 register
