This is at Key Hill cemetery so Key Hill Brian may be able to help you with more info on...

    dyas

I found the same as Lynne, she was in The Workhouse Infirmary, Western Road, Birmingham. I think it is possibly the same lady because in 1901, as Lydia Dyas she is with her parents, Edward and Annie Marie Dyas and she was also recorded as a Jewellers Solderer.

    Items that have faded away

I still have my Nans Be-Ro and McDougalls books but they will soon be going to a new bookshelf because my youngest son is moving to pastures new and has requested said books :( Yes Viv Be-ro was a brand of flour and I am sure I saw it recently in a supermarket.

Sarunte43, I'm sorry but I do not know how to access his records but I did find a newspaper article from 1900 by using my library card to access the newspaper archives, which I believe may refer to Luther and his brother Joseph...I can let you have the details if you would like them. The Clock - Bickenhill

Hi Bernie, Sorry about the delay.. I've been to the library today and picked up a copy of "Discovering Bickenhill" by V H T Skipp which is a book put together by a research group in the 1960's. It says of Inns, "The three Bickenhill inns shown on the 1839 Tithe map retain their signs, although...

    George Rose

Shortie, I think that's wonderful to have them all together (does that sound odd ?) I think that Emma married a John Henry Street in the Dec 1/4 of 1870, St Giles, 1b 743. They were lodging in Nova Scotia Street (George and Dragon Yard ?), St Peter's Ward, Birmingham (the writing isnt very good)...

Hi Shortie, :encouragement: good to know I had found the same one as you..For reasons that you know of, I haven't been spending much time on the pc of late, so its good to be able to dust off the 'research mode cobwebs' occasionally , just to keep my grey matter going !! Do you know where...
