    Oh Charlie, how I envy you, I used to really fancy Sean when we were both younger, I wouldn't have minded buying him a steak let alone beans on toast. Did you have a photo taken with him? he really was a hunk in those days.

    Topcat don't know if this answers your question but in my old Wakelins Guide it says Easy Row ran from 26 Paradise Street to Cambridge Street, B1 central Birmingham.

    Glarrys rings a bell with me I feel sure in the early 1950s they had a shop on the Flat in Hockley, my mother worked in Park Road and if she saw something she thought might suit me, I would meet her after school and try whatever it was on.

    I remember seeing a plaque re Ancient Lights on a wall in New John Street near the junction with Newtown Row, opposite the Newtown Palace Cinema, it was in an alleyway between two buildings, it fascinated me as a child when I first saw it.

    It is with great sadness I have to tell you that my long time partner Ray died suddenly last Wednesday, I know some of you have met him on the various outings, and others may remember his barber shop and later hairdressing shops in Newtown Row and the Newtown Shopping Centre. R.I.P.Darling
