My parents lived in Lennox st at the back as I was told their names were frank and iris cheese

4 back of 51 1955-1962. Then at 43 Stretton Rd in 1965.

Lived at 13/71 Lennox st 1950 to 1966 neighbours were The worleys,Nan South,The Sheppards + many more

Have you seen this image of Jubilee Avenue? Unfortunately it only shows Nos. 1-6 (you can just about see 5mm of No. 7 on the RHS) No.7 would almost certainly be the same design as those shown.

On the Birmingham map of 1889 this building is shown as 'Fountain Works (disused)', on the 1950s map it is labelled 'Brass Press Works'. I can find nothing relating to Fountain Works in the directories, I assume if it was disused by 1890 then it probably existed even before Lennox Street (Lenox Street) was built.
Can anybody help? What would the address be for this prior to Lennox Street? Thank-you

My Moms family named Evitts lived 12 Victoria Terrace my Dads family named Brown lived over the Rd also in Lennox St, Mom named Lavinia was asking if any info.. on the Bevan family Patty, Ronnie & her parents Ivy & Fred were so kind to her in the 40's. My father Dennis always mentioned The Brook, The Dolphin & Angel as he ran a couple of football teams from pubs, be nice to hear thank you.

The firm is still around, though at a different place, in 1932:
Loynes C. A. & Sons, rule mkrs. 173B, Hockley st
The firm is not listed in 1933 or 1936
In 1937-1940 there is Loynes, Chas A. spirit level manufacturer, 70 Spencer St. (which is off hockley st)
They have gone by 1943, but there is still:
Loynes (Stampings) Ltd. stampers & piercers, die sinkers and capstan lathe work 1 spencer St, which , as William A Loynes stampers & piercers, at the same address, is first listed also in 1938

My dad worked Loynes in Jewelery Quarter making Brass Wall Plaques
