Very little creativity with those buildings on the left! Sorry…
Wolfsons certainly there in 1940. Not sure Bairds were there then though. This was a tricky one to track down, especially as most of those lovely decorative features along the roof line have been removed. The location shows the junction of Stratford Road, Ivor Road and Showell Green Lane. I'd say this view was about 1930s, early 1940s.

In 1915 she is still there but in 1921 it has changed hands.Baird seems to be "Jane(t) Baird" and has listings in directories in 1904 and 1912. It may be that someone later used the shop name.
Both Baird and Wolfson are listed in 1912 drectory. However, Wolfson is not a furriers.

Yes I think your spot on tooI believe it's the junction of Stratford Road and Farm Road .... in Sparkbrook.
Could it be the "Model Aerodrome" company who made the "Drome" range of flying model aircraft? - There offices were at 144 Stratford Road, Sparkbrook in 1942/43. - Here is a copy of one of their ads from December 1942. At that stage they were manufacturers who sold their products through other outlets.Hi
Does anyone remember a shop or office that was on the Stratford rd that was something o do with model airplanes it would be sometime in the 1940's
I think the name Smyths my sister worked in the office there I remember going once I think there was a few steps upto the door, from what I remember it was on the same side as Westwoods down towards The Mermaid pub, she has recently passed away & was trying to remember some info for her family.
