Sadly I can't see any mention of it being Birchfield Harriers original stadium (as the first Alexander Stadium, named after W W Alexander, completed in 1927 to celebrate the club’s 50th Jubilee). This history is so often overlooked in favour of its speedway and greyhound racing history. Birchfield Harriers were the first club to own their own track.

Hope someone manages to secure the William Bloye leaping stag plaque. Or maybe the 1920s building displaying the plaque will be preserved in the redevelopment. We live in hope ! But I somehow doubt it.
