adverse weather this weekend

i have never known wind and rain as bad as this too bad to go outside.i spent most of the night mopping up the water out of the hall and kitchen, i am running on Battery backup now so have to be carfull not to lose power alltogether as my phone only works online i dont have a cell phone there is no sig here. take care all and dont go out unless you have too

Pretty wild here on the North Devon coast too. Got the government klaxon warning on the mobile last night to not leave the house.
Only damaged so far is some plastic fascia has come loose on my gable end and is banging on the outside wall as I type this.
We've had plenty of windy days in the past ( I'm on a hill) but as Pete says, nothing like this.
 
Iv had a couple of calls about fences being down which i will sort out next week all inland
i had to pass on a downed fascia i don't do ladders anymore
My brother and his son have just popped round to see how bad my flapping fascia is. The wooden board behind it has gone missing, looks like scaffolding and a chippy will be required.
 
I sympathis with thosen having to travel in the West. I returning to Reading from Leeds by train. Those wishing to go from the north to the west country are having to change at Birmingham go down to Reading, then to Bristol and hopefully get home somehow from there
