Dolman Street Stores photos taken by mark tooze

Went to this years Collection Centre open day yesterday - attendance sadly much lower than in previous years, almost certainly due to the £11 admission charge now imposed by our bankrupt council. Thanks to the wonderful staff there who went out of their way to help and advise.
I've tried to photograph some different items to those posted above and I will post them over the next day or two. But for those who have not been as you can see below, exploring it is not a "5 minute job".....

I certainly recall that sectioned diesel engine and the jet engine being on display in the science section

Quite astounding how many artifacts are held at Dolman Street. Hopefully some get into museum collections from time to time, if only on loan. Seems such a waste for so many interesting items to be stored away. Mind you, the stuffed animals can stay where they are !
