Worthengton could be Worthington.

Then it must be a T on the death certificate - my poor deciphering!
Don't know where he fits in. I have Charles Henry as an only child and don't when his mother died either.

It turns out that my sister had ordered a copy of that wedding certificate some time ago only to find it to be the wrong one. It gives this Charles Henry's age as 24 whereas the Charles Henry on the death certificate was aged 55.

The death certificate I have has Charles Henry's death as April 10th 1940!

I do have a copy of a death certificate for a Charles Henry Bayliss in which the informant is an F. McDonald and he is a brother in law.
I haven't been able to find any other children of Samuel and Alice so don't know where F. McDonald fits in unless I have...

Alice was born in Birmingham.
In the 1881 Census there is also a Charles Bayliss as an nine year old inmate at a Coventry Union Workhouse.
Don't know if he is their son. Could it be that Samuel and Alice died early on?

I found Henry's marriage and also his parents marriage. I believe they were Robert Cottom and Susannah Jarvis but nothing for Samuel.
Haven't been able to find them on any later census. I think they only had one child - Charles Henry...
