Hi Keith. His name is Joe Froggatt (my grandfather) - Lightweight Boxing Champion 1937/38 when at Austin ABC. He was at Small Heath ABC before that, I know he worked at Fischers at Austin.

Hi Vivienne, thanks so much for your reply, there are some newspaper clips there I haven't seen. The clip with the photo of the competitors includes William Froggatt, I believe he is Joe's brother and father of the late songwriter, Raymond Forggatt. Here is another photo of Joe.

Hello everyone .... interesting to read about Kyrle Hall .... I have just discovered my grandfather has a connection to it. I have just bought this old poster relating to the boxing matches held at Kyrle Hall .... my grandad was Joe Froggatt boxer for Small Heath and later Austin ABC.
