Sorry,it's not Snow Hill Station,it's opposite there,it's the entrance to the Great Western Arcade,which was destroyed by bombing during WW2...Here's another photo of it,also showing the Great Western Vaults pub next door.
I see the Bull Ring Tavern has been mentioned above..It was originally called "The Talbot" and opened in September 1959.I worked there from shortly after it opened until 1964....It was sold to Courage in 1974 and renamed Bull Ring Tavern then...
I remember St.Martin's House well,I worked opposite it back then,at "The Talbot",known now as the Bull Ring Tavern...Reg Walker often popped in for a quick half of bitter...Here he is on the left,at the opening of the Locarno Ballroom,in 1961..
