Aerial view of Garbett Street 1937 (not good quality), doesn't seem to match the map very well so I assume some houses were lost to bombing or demolition. I think No. 24 is the one arrowed.
A map from 1950s, unfortunately I don't think any of the photos show No. 24 but I will look to see if there is an aerial view.
Photo 3 is taken looking towards Shakespeare Road from Garbett Street.
Have you seen this 1855 map? but I think it only shows a sewer grating and perhaps not the period you're interested in.

A few discrepancies on the census so checked a few others. Court 11 was between Nos. 47 and 48 so No. 46 as marked.
Were you aware that there was an Edmonds family at No. 4 on the 1871 census?
Here is a link to the 1950s map showing house numbers, the house numbers still appear to be consecutive (rather than odds and evens) but unfortunately I can't see No. 46 at the moment.
