    Homes Buildings

On the census Court 6 is recorded between Nos. 18 & 19, I would think No.1 would be the house behind No. 19 but can't be sure.

    Sutton Coldfield

On the 1911 census it is referred to as part of the parish of St. James' (Mere Green) but obviously covers a large area. There is a Thomas Baker aged 17 at Four Oaks Common Road.

    Saltley Road Chapel

An aerial view of Saltley Chapel from 1935, chapel is centre of image. Note only 1 gas holder at Saltley gas works and the old brewery behind the chapel. 1855 map of Cato Street North showing chapel.

    OLD AND NEW PHOTOGRAPHS

Recent view from Saltley Road (Nechells Parkway), the old brewery on Cato Street North looks in a sorry state and they'll soon have an excuse to demolish and replaced with an industrial unit. Gas holders on Nechells Place long gone.

Gabriel's "Corner shops" Ruston Street, Ladywood and Mickleton Avenue, Sheldon

The buildings on the map don't appear to correlate to the photograph though.
