    They were in the King's Fusiliers one served in the Boar uprising and also India I have there medals and service records. This is very interesting wish my sister Margaret was still with us shenew a lot more

    Your quite right Robert Thomas I think was my grandfather or great great grandfather they were I believe first cousins. He was born in Dublin his father was serving there at the time, and lived at 27 Haughton Rd. Thanks for the info. I really must get into my family tree!

    As a Moseley myself I found that very interesting and I hope by now you've sorted your tree out. I don't think that we are related we were from Handsworth/Aston areas my great Aunts spinster sisters called Emily and Maud. I should spend time researching but never get around to it.     I remember you Alan. I too hated my time there the teachers you mentioned were terrible and as you say bully's My mates were Nolan Smith and Barry Phillips we spent most our time playing truant and had several canings For it . Still I've had a good life though. Robert Moseley.

    Hello I'm very late to this I and my wife were both born at Handsworth Road in 1947. But I'm looking for the maternity hospital in Trinity Road where Chris my brother was born, recently Deceased. From what I remember we called it the Born House anyone got any thoughts on this? Bob Moseley.

    Hello all Don't know if anyone's watching this thread but my father worked for a building firm in potters hill I believe they were called Pratts . I can remember going with him to light light the boiler on a Sunday to get the office warm for the start of the week.
