Just found them in 1841 and 1851

In 1841 the family are living in Pritchett Street, mistranscribed as Westance. Mother Anne is stated to be Independent, so presume a widow, 45. Rest of her children with her.

Re: henry whiston

Karen, there are a lot of various spellings for your family.
The family Westance in 1841 have a son Daniel age 15 ,a Daniel WHISTONS age 26 in 1851 is living with his wife in soho road.

The marriage of the daughter Ann to james oxford has WISTONS.
When Ann was baptised in Walsall 1822 she was WISTANCE
parents Daniel and Ann

Daniel WISTENCE married Ann smith 1 oct 1815 St Mary Handsworth.

When son Daniel was baptised 20th april 1829 (b. 14th apr 1826)at St Martins it was WHISTANCE.
These are all extracted records from original documents but those days with many people not being able to read it was often the case that there were many differing spellings.
