  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Well, for a start, the Erdington bird is not the same as the Snow Hill one, he is looking the other way. :Dso maybe they changed it? Presumably they left Snow Hill after road alterations and demolitions in the early 1960's.

I guess the yokels out in the sticks (Erdington way) were more familiar with crows and rooks. Crows not liked by farmers, but the townies would consider a penguin as they were, most likely, principally used to pigeons, starlings and sparrows at the time. Rooks are another matter.
Everyone loves penguins it seems.

i am a yokel.out in the sticks.and used to most.corvids....we have no penguins here though.
