Gone but not forgotten R.I.P.
Just watched a very interesting and informative program called 'Secrets from the Workhouse'. the welfare system of the day. It was a bit of an eye opener, I did'nt know Charlie Chaplin was in the workhouse for a start. If you did'nt see it can I recommend you watch it on catchup tv. I have set the tv to record the series just in case I forget its on. It was on today 2-1-14 on ITV. Worth watching.

Thanks for that Terry, I meant to watch it but got tied up with some jobs & forgot the time. Glad to know it's worth seeing on the catch up, coz several of my folks ended up in a workhouse.
