The Trout

Rupert

master brummie
The trouts a fish of splendor,
Of colour and delight,
He's velvet smooth and slender,
And full of pluck and fight.

He's fished for by the angler,
With rod reel line and fly,
In lochs and lakes and chalk streams,
The Severn and the Wye,

He's hard to catch and wily,
Even when he's hooked,
But he tastes quite delicious,
After being cooked.

Guess there are not to many fishermen out there Rupert.

Robert

Poetry is not everyones cup of tea Robert but they do seem to be read a lot which in itself is gratifying. Where else can you post a poem and be read around the world. Hey I netted four favourable comments with my last attempt albeit the poem was written 40 years ago and it seems to have been read by more than the other two. Things are deffinitely looking up.
Regards
