the note

gingerjon

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN R.I.P.
My hands touched the note you sent to me
It triggered the memories for me to see
Thoughts began to leap in to my mind
Of the long ago days when you was so kind
Now we have met in this electronic age
Thoughts we can put down on a history page
We can’t return to those days long gone past
Yet will this new rekindled friendship last
We were like ships passing on a dark night
Then this life’s coincidence returned us to the light
As our old life disappeared from our eye sight
Many a poor soul suffered with this sorry plight
The years have passed and we are friends again
Can this electronic age our friendship sustain

STONE AGE TO SPACE AGE, LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP WILL OUT LAST ALL.

A lovely poem - without question - a true friendship can outlast anything - how we all need our friends Beryl M
