The last two Metrobuses have today departed Miller St today at about 7.40 am this morning, the last two were B819AOP and B849AOP 2849 had the honour to be the last through the gates for the last time the other Metrobuses were sold at auction on the 8th Aug 2010 at Lea Hall Bus Garage (Former) the average price for the Metrobuses was about £1.500 to that you add the cost of the tyres buyers premium and VAT, photos can be found on https://my.bus.photos.fotopic.net/c1187721.html

So they were with new owner from Sunday and today the last two were picked up by their new owners Abbey Travel of Leicester (I would like to thank them for pre warning me that they were about to depart0 as I could not let this small piece of Birmingham Transport History go with out a photo or two photos can be found on https://my.bus.photos.fotopic.net/c1788808.html

And before anyone says any think there are still the Driver Training Metrobuses in service but they have had the staircase removed and are unlikey to go back into service and may soon go to the scrap yard

Are these then the last buses in service in Birmingham that were made in Birmingham ? That is just so sad and wrong.
