  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Statue by Highgate Road.

I seem to remember, although it was 40 years ago, there used to be a statue in Highgate Road by Ladypool Road in a grassed area and it had wrought iron raillings around it with gates. Can't remember who the statue was. Anyone help or have I dreamt it! Thanks.
 
hi roly i have no knoweledge of the statue not really my neck of the woods but hopefully some of members maybe able to help

Not sure of this but a statue of Thomas Attwood was at one stage in Larches Green see below map according to a list of Birmingham public works of art - it was removed after heavy vandalism.
