My first ever place of work in April1975 as a trainee civil engineer.

The building was rented by Sir Herbert Humphries and McDonald Consulting Engineers

Happy days great summer days (remember summer 76) sitting in the park eating sandwiches (sandwich spread!) at lunchtime.

Never worked in such a great environment since

Rookery House looking good again

The wonderful thing about collecting postcards is the number of times some places can be caught by the camera from the early 20th century (Two do you know the èarliest date) to today, black and white, sepia, lithograph, hand coloured, real photographic and the last seventy years coloured photos, from the East, West, North and South and from the air and this collection is perfect proof, but they also, often contain social history, show changes etc.
