Rememberance Day

gingerjon

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN R.I.P.
In Memory of my Father Warrant Officer Robert James Houghton Royal Pioneer Corps, who served His country in all theatres of the second world war we still remember you always

Heroes.
The years have rolled by
Memories that caused many a sigh
Still we have not forgotten
The heroes of yesterday
So today we all can have our say
Many young men gave us they're all
So that young children could grow up tall
Remembrance Day as come around again
Our long lost loved ones have not died in vain
So today and forever in our hearts
Let us all pray that war never starts
And as this day fades away
Do not let this peace go astray
Freedom was earned by our young men
Who gave us their most treasured possession
They laid down their lives
So you could have yours
John Houghton son
