  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Relief sculpture

Many of our buildings have relief sculptures on them. They often tell a story but might also be decorative. My favourite is the William Bloye series of 3 panels at the Hall of Memory. Bloye created them in 1925 and they're fixed inside the Hall. They certainly tell a vivid story entitled: "Call", 'Frontline" and "Return". Be good to see what other interesting relief sculptures have survived on Birmingham's buildings. Viv.

Agree Wendy. Be great to see other interesting reliefs whether external or interior as these features can often be overlooked in favour of the wider architectural features of a building. Viv.
