Radio Supply Company Great Western Arcade

malfunction

Do you remember R.S.C's in the Great Western Arcade, they sold guitar, stage and audio equipment with their own RSC logo. My question is what did RSC stand for, I know that this question has been raised on other forums but I'm not sure that anyone has the answered it?

I suppose the Royal Shakspeare Company has been mentioned before? It's the only thing I can think of for the initials RSC.

There is the Royal Society of Chemistry, but its not that. In Kellys it is listed as RSC (Manchester) Ltd.

Radio Compnewnt Specialists I think.

Had some connection with Linear and FAL amplifiers, which were often similar if not the same designs.

After checking, there is a website supplying service diagrams for to the A7 amplifier and I know that there is an A10, so thanks that seems to clear that one up.

Pretty sure it was Radio Supply Company. I used it often for bits. Good service. Had my first reel-to-reel then cassette recorders. I think they had "Hi-Fi" separates and speakers before disappearing. RSC and Sherwoods (opposite?) were great shops.
