  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Hi Guys i am researching a company by the above name its directors was A,E Millner, m, millner
I have in my possession an invoice dated 1953 i beleive they could have been stock metal holders
can anybody tell me if they ever worked there not i would be very much intrested o know what they actual done i have down loaded one of there invoices to another company to the value of 58 pounds and 32 pence its stamped marked and postage stamp is 1 penny and half hapenny thank you for any info; Alan ;;;

My Grand Parents were A E Milner & M Milner
 
I have found the following:

1938 Ironmonger Diary.

R.H. Burman Ltd
Avon Works
Tyburn Road
Erdington
Birmingham.

Manufacturers of: 'Epicure Aluminium Ware'

I have also found the following:

R. H Burman Ltd
Unit 3 Concentric Park
Priory Road
Aston B6 7LG
They were incorporated as a company in 1924 and they are still trading.

Might be worth giving them a call to see if the have any old company info etc.

I have also found 'Avon Works', 897 Tyburn road.

The building is still there, it now trades as a bedding warehouse. It is on the corner of Holly lane and Tyburn road.
