Does anyone remember the following pubs? STAR & GARTER, corner of Wheeler Street, The Compasses, corner of Great Russell Street or the 3 X`s. My late mother worked in The Compasess around 1945/47. Anthony
Hi my Dad used to use the pub's you mentioned when we lived in Great Russell Street in the 1950's, he was a bit fond of his beer was my dear old Dad. His name was Bernard Higgins but I don't suppose any one would remember him.
I seem to remember that there was an R.O.A.B. lodge used to meet in the Star and Garter, I remember me and Gary Turner playing with the regalia.
