Hey guys same down here in the land of Aus-the other day a nurse at the doctors was applying a dressing to my leg, chatting away and then said,' Are you from England ?' then qualified it more by asking, 'Birmingham ?'
'Yes,' I replied,'Youve got a good ear for accents.'
'I knew it,' she said, ' I'm watching Peaky Blinders and you sound just like them.'

We were in Oban a couple of years ago and were having a beer with my wife's cousin at a local bar, when my wife was told that she talks just like a Peaky Blinder by a chap who was engaged in propping up the bar. He was a big fan of the programme too. My wife is actually Scottish and has clearly done a great job of picking up our dulcet tones, in the years since she came to Brum as a wee 5-year old! ;)

We closed the original thread because we thought it had said all that could be said about Peaky blinders so this one will be closed for further posts.
Thanks for your contributions.
