OSCAR DEUTSCH - his wife Lily and 3 children - any info on them after Oscar's death?- are there any surviving members of his family?
Also anyone know of his address in Augustus Rd Edgbaston?
Thanks Lloyd - great info from it i managed to find
"Post war, the registered office of the Clifford Company was at 5, AugustusRoad, Edgbaston, which was originally the home of the great ODEON cinema mogul Oscar Deutsch. Deutsch tragically died of cancer in the forties. Solomon Joseph was a old family friend who lived next door and eventually married Deutsch's widow, Lilly (nee Tanchan). After Lilly died in the seventies the house was demolished and the site redeveloped for houses."
During my time living in The Cotswolds I worked at a Citroen frachise.
We had a customer called Ronnie Deutsch who said was the son of Oscar.
Ronnie would have lived in Chipping Campden or near by.
Whether this gentleman is any relation, I do not know, but it is the same area: https://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article5876421.ece
